Projeto Lygia Pape, initially conceived as a non-profit Cultural Association, was created by the artist and her daughter Paula Pape in 2003 with the goal of organizing and preserving her archive.
Since 2004, we maintain her memory through exhibitions, books, and other actions, such as the constant conservation of her physical works in a dedicated space, as well as the continuous up-to-date scanning of her filmography and the updating of biographical data. We hold the copyright and patrimonial rights to the artist’s image and work, having exclusive rights to issue Certificates of Authenticity.
The work developed by PLP has been ongoing for 21 years, with the collection duly cataloged in our database.
Projeto Lygia Pape keeps the artist’s presence alive by disseminating her concepts and ideas, which permanently reverberate throughout the world and remain ever relevant. Projeto also has a group of informal advisors, longtime friends of the artist and others who join our work.
